Motherboard Socket Repair Service AMD/INTEL
B-Hawk Gaming offers a prompt and professional socket replacement service for your motherboards.
The price shown is a non refundable fee to cover the diagnostic/handling of your device. This fee does NOT guarantee that we will work on your device. It only allows us to assess whether it is viable for a repair attempt.
This will then be followed by a final fee, which is to be settled after we replace the socket and it works as follows:
Socket replacement successful, board fully working - £60
Socket replacement unsuccessful, partially working (boots with some errors such as RAM/PCIE) - £30
Socket replacement fail, board damaged, board not working - £0 (No fee if we fail)
All sockets will be provided with the exception of AM5 sockets, 2066 sockets and 2011 sockets these will cost £20 each, whether the replacement is successful or not.
If the board has other faults and requires repairs, such as traces damaged, connectors replaced and so forth, this will additionally attract our standard repair fee of £50
There will also be an additional fee to cover the return postage of your device added at checkout.
The assessment will be done within a few days of receiving the device. The actual repair/repair attempt will take place in accordance with the specified times as indicated by the service selected (1-2 weeks for expedited, and 4-6 weeks for standard).
Please do not send your device in without first making a purchase - we will not work on any device that does not have an order number. We receive mutliple devices each week and the order number allows us to ensure a device is correctly matched to the customer and it's repair progress is tracked through our system. If a device arrives with no upfront purchase, that device will remain on the shelf untouched until a purchase for our services has been made
Once a repair has been completed, the device will not be returned until FULL final payment is received.
Extra Note: When sending your device in after a purchase please ensure to provide your name on the outside of the parcel, and further contact details and a brief description of the issue inside the parcel. This allows us to identify who the device belongs too. We receive multiple devices each day, sometimes many of the same device make /model. If we are not able to identify who the device belongs to, we will not work on it until the owner can prove they sent the device.
Turn Around Times
We try to do this as quickly as possible, but depending on workload, our Standard Service can be up to 2-3 weeks for diagnostics/repairs on top of any additional time for spares orders to come in if necessary. Our Expedited Service is 1 week for diagnostics/repairs on top of any additional time for spares orders to come in if necessary.
Postage & Shipping
Important:
Please be aware of what the compensation is when selecting postage options. Any problems with postage and the courier will only pay out the maximum amount of compensation that you select. As an example, if you select £150 compensation for a £1500 device and it gets lost, you will only receive £150 compensation.The initial postage arrangement and cost of sending your item into us for repair is to be managed and paid for by yourself, the customer, using a service of your choice. The postage fee paid to us at checkout is for the safe return of your card only.
We have two regular posting days, all cards ready to be returned to the customer will be carried out on Wednesday and Saturday and will be carried out by our chosen provider Royal Mail.
International Shipping Disclaimer:
The responsibility for any customs duties, foreign taxes or other fees which may be imposed will rest with you the customer.

Once you have purchased the correct Repair Service from the drop down list, please carefully package your device and use a tracked and signed for service to ensure the items safe arrival. Please mail the items to the following address.

- Add any information regarding the faults, if the symptoms are known to the parcel itself.
- Add your name and/or eBay User Name to the outside of the parcel so we can identify which items belong to you. If this is on the outside it is easier for us, if it is on the inside, then we could have a delay since we receive multiple parcels on a daily basis and prefer to open a parcel only when we are ready to work on that device.
- Send a message to us stating what device (brand and model) you intend to mail in, if we haven't discussed this already.
- Include your email address in the parcel so we can invoice for repairs.
Disclaimer
Damage to faulty devices:
Some devices may have underlying problems that could be made worse by attempting repair, although it is uncommon, there is still a chance it could happen. So partially working devices may end up not working at all. We will not be held liable in such an event. Some devices may also be severely damaged whereby we might get it functionally working but it may have cosmetic flaws, or other faults/missing components which will be deemed less concerning and as such, we may overlook them.Liability:
We accept no liability for damages to items or loss of items that happen because of circumstances outside of our control. This includes break-ins, natural disasters and fires.Shipping Damage / Loss:
We have no control over items that are in the possession of the courier. In the very highly unlikely event that a card does get damaged or lost during shipping, to or from us. We will assist as best we can with compensation claims, but we will ultimately not be held liable for any losses incurred.By purchasing this service, you will be acknowledging that you fully understand and agree to the above statements.
Warranty
The device is subject to a 30 day warranty period for the same fault, or same parts.
Please be sure to test your device as soon as you receive it back to avoid missing the warranty deadline.
In the event that a device fails again, we ask that you cover postage back to us, and we will cover it back to you.
If we are not able to repair it the second time, we will also refund the repair fee paid to us, This may be a partial refund depending on what the repair entailed.
The device will be scrutinized when returned, any extra damage that was not there during the first successful repair*, or the fault is found to be caused by the user/owner will void this warranty and full fees will be required to repair it once again.
If the device is found to have no problems and is sent in for no reason, we will then ask you to cover the return postage.
